One Thursday a friend invited me to The Brooklyn Art Library, which has nothing to do with the Public Library. It is a completely creative experience. They have over 40,000 sketchbooks on their shelves and 20,000 in their digital library.
The day we were there, they were preparing for a wedding, which was unique because it was a Thursday afternoon....not even after work...smart couple, to save lots of money.
The staff were great and they answered many questions. It was a great place to get inspiration and also leave a little of your own.

The other day I received a wonderful message from an old client via Instagram: "With Black History Month in mind, this pic is simply another great opportunity to showcase the work of (2) awesome Black female artists from Brooklyn, New York. I found as a curvy girl, it’s actually more cost effective to have my formal wear custom made: For one our @royalcaribbean Cruises 🚢, my gown designed by the one and only Cassandra Bromfield 🙌🏽 @cassbromfield and Jewelry with Cowrie Shells designed by Sherri of Beauloni Bridal @legacy_beauloni. My husband is sporting a Kente print tie to match back to my gown. If I weren’t home sick this week, we’d probably wear the same to the opening of “Black Panther!”...
From when I was a little girl, my Mother and I took the Christmas Walk...which is down 5th Ave to see the New York City Window Displays.....and I still continue to this day.
